Directors
Romeu Côrtes Domingues - CEO and Chairman
Graduated in Medicine by Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 1986, held post-graduation in Harvard, in 1990, qualification in Radiology. He was Medical Officer of CDPI and Multi-imagem and since 2009 has been Scientific Director in Colégio Brasileiro de Radiologia. Between 2011 January and April 2011 was Vice-President Director of Imaging in the Company.
Ronaldo Azevedo de Carvalho – Image Services Director
In March 11th 2009 the board approved his election to Image Services Director. Before working with us, Ronald Carvalho was partner-director of Solvo S.A., a technology company. He also worked as consultant in Booz & Co, participating in great projects of strategic positioning and costs reductions in a great number of industry sectors, as healthcare, midia and consuming. In companies as GE Healthcare and Brown Group Inc., he has worked in Latin America, United States and France. He holds a bachelor´s degree of economics from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
Marcelo Rucker – Human Resources Director
Selected as Human Resources director in december 2009, Mr. Rucker brings knowledge in the field from his previous major companies as such as: AmBev from 1989 to 2005 first as a trainee and then as corporate HR manager. He developed the operation´s excellence program of this company and restructured the RH area, simplifying and optimizing the process. Redefined the wage system of the sales team and of the training system. In Grupo Votorantim he occupied position of general manager of operations from 2005 to 2009, being responsible for the operation of 90 offices, and in the manager of costumers relationship. He holds an MBA in Retailing from FIA/USP with extension on Younstown University – Ohio, also he’s a graduate in marketing and strategic planning from Universidade Candido Mendes.
Mr. Octávio Fernandes- VP of Operations
Appointed by the board as the company’s COO in 2009, Mr. Octávio worked for Laboratório Bronstein since 1998 hence being present in DASA since its inception. Acted as management in Bronstein during the 1998-2001 period, was the responsible for the medical area of this company in Rio de Janeiro during the years of 2001 until 2004, coordinate the image area between 2004 and 2007 as business management when become Medical Director of the company. He obtained an M.D. with specialization in Clinical Pathology from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, received a master’s degree in Parasite Biology from Fundação Oswaldo Cruz and a PhD. in Tropical Medicine from University of California. Mr. Fernandes also holds a MBA in Healthcare Management from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
Carlos Elder Maciel de Aquino
Was a partner at KPMG and previously worked at institutions such as Itaú Unibanco and Unibanco, where he held positions such as director of internal auditing, executive director of leasing and managing director of complementary social securitie.He was also the sector director of Febraban’s internal auditing department, was a member of Redecard’s, Tecban’s and Interbanco’s (Paraguay) auditing committees. Earned a degree in accounting from UFPE, a graduate degree in Financial Administration from FESP-PE and in Economic Engineering from UNICAP-PE and has an Executive MBA in Financing from IBMEC-SP and a Controller MBA from USP/Fipecafi and is an auditing course professor for the MBA in Internal Auditing at Fipecafi.
Fabiana Barini – Quality Director*
DASA’s Quality Director since December of 2009, Mrs. Barini joined DASA when the company bought Bronstein Lab, where she was Business Manager for the Bronstein brand for seven years. Active in the lab market for more than 17 years, she also worked in the Lâmina Brand and was a graduate teacher in several areas, especially in quality and productivity. Mrs. Barini holds a bachelor degree on Chemistry Engineering from UFRJ, an Business MBA from IBMEC and an MBA in Health from FGV.

From 1999 to 2007, was Executive Director and after Executive VP of Unibanco. Presently, also occupies the Board Chairs of Dufry AG and of International Meal Company Holdings S.A. (IMC), and is member of the Banco Bradesco S.A. audit committee.

Mr. Oscar Bernardes is graduated in Chemical Engineering from Universidade do Estado do Reio de Janeiro. He was Chairman and Officer of Latin America Internet Development Group and Senior Partner of Íntegra Associados. He is a member of the Board of Directors of several companies in Brazil and abroad, including Gerdau e Met. Gerdau S.A. – member of the Human Resources and Management Committees, Suzano S.A – member of the Auditing Committee, Localiza S/A – member of the Finance and Auditing Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Davos, holding of Marcopolo controlling families, a private company. Mr. Bernardes is one of the controlling partners of Hopi Hari and he was senior partner of Booz Allen & Hamilton and CEO of Bunge International.

Mr. Tangerino is a counselor of the Company management. Background in Business Administration at Universidade Cândido Mendes in Rio de Janeiro he holds an Executive MBA (in company Amil/Coppead UFRJ). Mr. Tangerino has started his professional career in 1983 at Grupo Amil, acting in many companies of the Group: Hospitals, Laboratório Sérgio Franco, Operadora Amil and at EAT BRASIL. Between 1993 and 1999, he founded and has chaired the Grupo Brasil (Association of Brazilian Companies in Argentina) and the company EAT ARGENTINA. He was Personal Credit Officer at Banco Zogbi-SP and since 2003 has been acting as President Assessor and New Business Officer of Grupo Amil. Currently, he is a member of the Management Council of Hospital Nove de Julho-SP, Hospital Santa Paula-SP, Hospital Procardíaco-RJ, Excellion Biotecnologia-RJ, PROCEP–RJ and DASA.

It is responsible for the revision and supervision (i) of presentation process of financial and accounting reports; (ii) of the effectiveness and integrity of internal control and risk management process; (iii) of the internal and external activities of the auditors; and (iv) of the constant search for improvements in the Corporate Management process, including issues of business transparency for the shareholders and other interested parts, aiming a better direction and supervision by the Management divisions.
